T-Free is the website for the National Network for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Tobacco Control and Prevention.  

The goal of this network is to eliminate tobacco-related health disparities in the LGBT communities.   

This Network is funded under a cooperative agreement with the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.  T-Free is a project of The Fenway Institute at Fenway Community Health in Boston.

While the full website is under development, time-sensitive information will be posted on this temporary website. 

Health and Social Justice: Tobacco as a Queer Issue

LGBT people smoke much more than the rest of the population. A recent full probability research study showed LGBT men smoked at rates 50% higher than the general population and LGBT women smoked at rates almost 200% higher than the general population.**

It is estimated that smoking kills more LGBT people than any other health issue.

The need is clear, we must continue our fight against the disproportionate impact of tobacco on LGBT communities, so we ask you to please...
