Wanna learn more about LGBT health?

Here are some useful links.

First, the best summary of the literature to date is the Companion Document to Health People 2010.  This is a 500 or so page beast prepared to supplement the governments Healthy People 2010 book.  Reading note: you sometimes need to skip past the intro material in the chapters, since that's some stock stuff... look later on to see the review of LGBT health info for that area.

Next, be sure to check out the website for the National Coalition for LGBT Health.  And their recent community-compiled overview of top TG health priorities.

Also, check out the site for the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association, GLMA.

What about the National Library of Medicine's update on LG health (isn't it nice they include us... well some of us).

The gov't has also put up the executive summary of the 1999 Institute of Medicine book on lesbian health

The govt's Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has made their groundbreaking LGBT addictions book into a website.

And this is moving to a new publisher, so the issues are old, but the International Journal of Transgenderism has always carried a lot of health articles.

And some key transgender groups, not health specific, but helpful.  See the big library of info under the GEA website.
